Family camping in Lacanau
Welcome to the campsite!
Reception hours :
- High season: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Low season: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Our staff speak French, English, Spanish and Italian, making it easy to communicate with our international clientele. A luggage storage service is also available to safely store your belongings on the day of your arrival or departure.
Services and extras for added comfort
The family campsite in Lacanau does everything possible to ensure that you travel light. Several services and facilities are available at extra cost:
- Sheet hire: €12 per single bed, €17 per double bed
- Towel rental: €8
- Baby kit (cot and high chair): €10/day or €50/week
- Cleaning at the end of your stay: 85 €.
The campsite laundry has washing machines and tumble dryers. Irons and ironing boards are available on request from reception.
Fancy a barbecue evening? There’s a communal barbecue area where you can share a good time with other holidaymakers. At reception, you’ll also find a selection of books and board games to borrow free of charge.
Your pets are welcome at the campsite: dogs and cats are allowed, on a leash, for €4/day or €30/week. Don’t forget to bring your vaccination certificate.
Wifi is available throughout the campsite via the Wireless service (for a fee).
Feeling peckish? Visit the Snack Bar in Lacanau
The campsite snack-bar offers snacks, burgers, pizzas, French fries and a sweet menu with ice creams and crêpes. Vegetarian options and children’s menus are also available. We give priority to local produce, so that you can discover the flavours of the Gironde region.
Sit out on the terrace, order on the spot or opt for take-away: the choice is yours.

daily: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm / 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm - weeks outside school vacations (03/04 to 03/07 and 31/08 to 01/11):
Sunday to Thursday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm / 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm - July / August (from 04/07 to 30/08):
daily: 7:30am – 10:30pm
Bread and pastries available every morning: place your order the day before at the snack bar and pick up your fresh bread at breakfast.
In high season, the snack bar organizes themed evenings to keep the party going until 11pm. Don’t miss our program offriendly events in Lacanau!
Campsite with “Accueil vélo” label in Gironde: close to the Vélodyssée
Les Jardins du Littoral is proud to have been awarded the “Accueil Vélo” label. A bicycle garage awaits you at the entrance to the campsite, where you can park your equipment with complete peace of mind.
Located just a few pedal strokes from the Vélodyssée and Tour de Gironde bike trails, our family campsite in Gironde is an ideal stopover for cyclists. Over 150 km of cycle paths link the campsite directly to the ocean, Lac de Lacanau lake and the forest: enough to explore the region at your own pace, with family or friends. For those wishing to rent their equipment on site, there’s a bike hire shop just opposite the campsite.
Shopping nearby
You don’t need a car to access essential shops. By bike, shuttle or on foot (it’s a nice walk), you can easily reach :
- Super U Express Lacanau Océan for your groceries
- A pharmacy
- A medical center
- Bicycle rental (opposite the campsite)
- A fishing store for amateurs
- A surf store to rent or buy your equipment
Lacanau Océan also boasts a lively town center with restaurants, bars and markets. In summer, don’t miss the Wednesday morning market and the Friday evening night market to discover local products and crafts.
