Located in Le Huga, at the entrance to Lacanau Océan, our 3-star municipal campsite welcomes you from April 3rd to November 1st. Far from the hustle and bustle of the seafront in summer, come and enjoy a nature break in the heart of 9 hectares of pine forest, 8 km from the lake and 4 km from the beach. A friendly, family atmosphere, and the ideal setting to recharge your batteries in complete tranquillity.
Tent, van or mobile home: choose the accommodation that suits you best. For your children’s safety, you’ll appreciate our car-free concept in an enclosed, supervised area. On site, relax by the heated swimming pool, take a gourmet break at the snack bar or share a convivial moment on our communal barbecue area. The campsite also has sanitary facilities accessible to people with reduced mobility, and pets are welcome. Thanks to a vast network offootpaths andcycle paths covering more than 150 km on the Vélodysée, set off to discover the fabulous triptych for which our Gironde campsite is famous: the ocean, the forest and the lake.

Gironde campsite with heated swimming pool
From May 1st, Lacanau’s heated outdoor swimming pool opens its doors to you. Make yourself comfortable on one of our deckchairs and enjoy the sunshine of the Atlantic coast. Whether you want to swim a few laps or simply cool off after a bike ride, our pool is open to all! In high season, the pool is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. In low season, opening hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Swimming shorts are allowed, and shoe lockers are available: we’ve thought of everything to make your bathing moments synonymous with relaxation and simplicity at the Gironde campsite.

Natural swimming, fishing and water activitiesLac de Lacanau is just 8 km from our campsite in the heart of the Gironde. Its calm waters and leisure facilities make it ideal for families, with supervised swimming, a Splash Park for children and a wide range of water sports. If you’re a thrill-seeker, you can try your hand at windsurfing, canoeing, water-skiing or kitesurfing at the Moutchic and Grande Escourre sites.
Are you a fisherman? Lac de Lacanau is renowned for its pike, zander and perch. On the ocean side, Lacanau’s beaches are 4 km away. The South Beach, voted “most beautiful beach in France” in 2025, will delight surfers and families alike. Surf school and equipment rental are available on site to help you discover the waves of the Gironde coast.

Pitches and mobile homes at the Lacanau campsite
The campsite offers accommodation to suit all tastes. Our mobile homes for rent in Lacanau O’Hara, measuring around 25 m², can accommodate up to 4 people and have a covered terrace with garden furniture. Perfect for a comfortable vacation without giving up the camping spirit.
If you prefer to travel with your own equipment, our shaded pitches in Lacanau (approx. 80 m²) are equipped with electricity and hedges for your privacy. Tents and converted vans are welcome.
Travelling by motorhome? A dedicated parking area with almost 150 spaces is located at the entrance to the Lacanau campsite, in partnership with Camping-Car Park. Special offers are available throughout the season: 10% discount for a 7-night stay in low and mid-season, and the first night free for long-term bookings at the start of the season.

Our little extras: family services and activities
At the 3-star Les Jardins du Littoral campsite in Lacanau, we’ve thought of everything to make your vacation as easy as possible. The snack bar offers snacks, ice creams and cold drinks on the terrace, with extended opening hours in high season. Need to wash your clothes? The laundry is at your disposal with washing machine and dryer.
Cyclists, this is your home: our campsite has been awarded the Accueil Vélo label and has a video-surveilled parking area. A perfect stopover on the Vélodyssée itinerary.
In July and August, don’t miss the “ regional get-togethers ” organized every Monday: a welcome drink, local leisure providers and a farmers’ market allow you to discover the flavors and activities of the Médoc. On site, your children will enjoy the pétanque court and ping-pong table. Rackets, balls and boules are available at reception.

Your stay at the campsite is the ideal starting point for exploring the riches of the Médoc and Gironde regions. By bike or by car, discover the oyster-farming villages of Cap Ferret, admire the panorama from the Dune du Pilat or take a cruise to Ile aux Oiseaux and its famous cabanes tchanquées on the Bassin d’Arcachon.
Heritage lovers will appreciate the Cordouan lighthouse , a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the city of Bordeaux with its famous Cité du Vin, about an hour’s drive away.
On the nature front, the Etang de Cousseau nature reserve offers an unspoilt setting for forest walks. Is it possible to arrive outside reception opening hours?
Yes, arrivals outside reception hours are possible. However, vehicles are not allowed to circulate or access the campsite between 11pm and 7am.
What are the refund conditions in the event of cancellation?
Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 30 days before the arrival date. After this date, refunds are only possible if a refund guarantee has been taken out, and in accordance with the conditions set out in the guarantee.
Do I need a deposit?
Yes, for all mobile home rentals, a deposit of €300 is required on arrival.
Are sheets and towels included?
Bed linen and towels are not included by default. They can be rented from reception.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is heated throughout its opening period. It is open from May 1st.
